Feb. 5, 2019 - Future of Work: the Coming Skills Revolution
When: February 5, 2019 - 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Where: Westin Hotel, Confederation Ballroom
Over the next 10 years, it is expected that 50% of jobs in Canada will be disrupted by artificial intelligence and automation.
As a result, Canada’s Gen Mobile – young people who are currently transitioning from education to employment – are unprepared for the rapidly changing workplace. What skill sets will the 4 million young Canadians entering the workforce over the next decade need to remain competitive and resilient?
To get to the bottom of this very important issue, the Canadian Club of Ottawa is joining forces with the Forum for Young Canadians to cohost a luncheon panel discussion featuring:
- The Hon. Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour
- Jennifer Flanagan, CEO, Actua,
John Stackhouse, SVP, Office of the CEO, RBC
In addition to the usual crowd, expect the company Forum's February 2019 participants and alumni.
