Bill C81: The Accessible Canada Act
The goal to having this bill pass is to ensure that all Canadians, especially those with disabilities, have the equal right to access to work places, public spaces, employment, programs, services and information. The act would also bring upon the creation of the Canadian Accessibility Standards Development Organization, who would be able to develop and recommend new accessibility standards, and an Accessibility Commissioner, who would enforce the standards.
Seeing this act coming to fruition will be a historic event for all Canadians, letting everyone have equal access to accessibility.
