Canada and the United States share a border, an intertwined economy, close family and cultural ties, and a steadfast commitment to global leadership on the issues that matter most.  Join the Canadian Club of Ottawa in welcoming the United States Ambassador to Canada David L. Cohen for a keynote address and Q&A session to discuss important topics for our respective nations and of deep interest to the Club’s audience in Ottawa. 

The U.S. and Canadian economies are rooted in a strong trade relationship and integrated supply chains.  Increasingly driving a changing economy under “Bidenomics” and Canada’s own approaches, the two nations are seeking to spur massive investments in low-emissions and next generation technology, “friend shoring” manufacturing and critical materials, and creating meaningful growth that benefits workers, business, and investment.  And, in a changing world witnessing serious challenges to peace and a rules-based world order, our collective global leadership has never been more important.
