Heather Bakken

Heather Bakken is a partner at Pendulum – a boutique communications and public affairs firm in Ottawa. She is a certified digital communications strategist who has worked as a broadcast journalist on both sides of the camera as a reporter, anchor, producer, and writer. As a media executive, she ran two political news organizations covering federal and provincial policy. She has worked for the Ottawa Board of Trade and started her career as an entrepreneur and marketing director. Heather also serves on the executive committee of the Rideau Club. As the President of World Press Freedom Canada, she fulfills her passion for human rights and the love of her lifelong vocation.
